Silliness & Hats

 Some days I miss the beach, so I curl my hair in beach waves and pretend I'm going to Newport for the day... but it's never the same :( Ps. I haven't had a haircut in 9+ months and I'm getting desperate! 

Some days I am desperately counting down the minutes until Zach gets home and I end up taking a million selfies with my girl. Her faces kill me hahaha

I really meant it when I said that Zach's presents are rarely for him... :)

More evidence that gifts for Zach are really "family gifts" and that I'm apparently desperate to not grow up...

I love my Georgia bean! And I love me some heart sunnies.

And I loooooove Jason's Deli! Zach had been raving about this place for months and I literally blew him off 100 times (what do men ever know???) like "a deli...so what..." but oh I was so wrong! The salmon sandwich is to die for and of course I always get it with extra chipotle sauce and 2 large soft serve cones on the side!! They have free soft serve for their guests and it's the most amazing soft serve (coming from a super picky ice cream gal) so I love taking Georgie there for a treat and hitting up Fashion Place mall as a bonus! 

And there is Boston....needing to be held....24/7 as usual.

Sometimes I dangle snacks in front of the camera to try for some blurry selfies:

And then with all this selfie madness lately, I think of Sister Booch and take an awkward selfie in her honor:

Zach's Golden Birthday #29

Zach is almost THIRTY!!!! Which only made me feel a teeeeeeeny tiny bit better about botching his "golden birthday" (29 on the 29th) this year. Cause next year is when it counts, right?! Anyway, we kept it easy this year since really, his beloved smoker grill was his main gift. If you don't know Zach, he is a simple man. Doesn't care much for fashion. Which is why he owns all of about 4 weekend shirts, and maybe 8 total and they are all about 4 years old and fading fast. He also has his one extremely treasured pair of yellow mesh shorts that I bought him for another birthday at least another 4 years ago and MAN have I paid the price for that! In realizing all this, I also recognize that he doesn't care to shop and doesn't like to spend the money. But I want my babe to be cute! And not completely homeless. So sometimes, when I buy him presents, they are really for me. But when are presents ever not for me??? So I searched and searched for the perfect hip-but-not-hipster hat and hoped he would accept something other than a mainstream baseball team hat! 

He loved it. And I think he looks super cute in it. And so do I! Win win! Presents for everyone haha ;) I also had been on the hunt for some cute plain sweat shorts for him to replace the yellow mesh. I FINALLY found the PERFECT pairs at H&M for quite a reasonable price and I LOVE them! He looks SO cute in them! Finally, an outfit built for comfort AND easy on the eyes. We can both live in peace now. I almost burned the yellow shorts but realized I DID get them for him as a gift oh so long ago... he couldn't find them a few days later and broke into panic asking me if I'd thrown them out. Haha! He really does love them. I guess I just get really good presents ;)

Zach is always having to share his birthday. Good thing he's so easy going. Usually, it's with his nephew, Coby. But now that we live in Utard, he kind of gets his own day. Except this year, everyone gathered to celebrate his other nephew's mission farewell!! Zach is so nice to share. 

We ended up being really early for the open house, so we stopped at a nearby park and let Georgie run around. She is so quick these days! She got up on this bouncy thing and had a blast!

 I mean, everything's more fun when you have a mullet!! A-tro-cious.

Then we I shamelessly took celebratory birthday selfies of us to remember the day Zach turned 29! 

  Even though I pick ridiculous little fights with him and like to push his buttons till they pop, I sure do love him lots and lots. He really is my best friend and worst enemy and greatest lover boy. hehe

 Finally it was time for pie & ice cream and I had way too much I'm pretty sure Georgie had ice cream for dinner. Oooooops. Dairy right? She has sure warmed up to Papa these days and loves to give him cuddles for 2.5 seconds till she's off reeking havoc on the next victim! 

Thanks Zach, for having an awesome birthday on such awesome days that other people want to do cool stuff of that day too!! And thanks for always putting up with me and sharing all your gifts with me as well as your life with me :) you must like me a lot... xoxo Happy 29th babe!

Glimpses of Georgia

We take a lot of videos when Daddy goes out of town for work...it passes the time, Georgia loves to watch them over and over, and to send them to Zach to make him miss us :)

She does so many quirky things by the day. Like obsessing over the shutters. She slammed them and gasped over and over for like 20 minutes the other day! For a week straight, she would run in there, climb up on the chair, and flip the shutters a few hundred times...(ahem, buckle obsessed toddlers...shutter flipping toddlers...sound familiar?)

Do excuse our horrendously messy room, but this is the essence of Georgia lately. Every morning she rushes to wrap herself in Boston's blankets or Zach's comfy shorts lying around, grabs a hat to throw on, her basket from last Halloween as Little Red, and then slides down the baby nap chair a couple 100 times. Most of the time, she counts to three and then says "Weeeee!" as she slides down. 

Georgia is catching on to just about anything these days! Copying silly things they do or say in movies, copying what we say or do, she's learning so much - something different every day! 

Like learning how to say 1,2,3! But she says it "WON, chewww, WAYYYY!" Zach taught her that the other day and I think it is the cutest thing. Clearly. As you can see, I make her say it for me over and over and over.

There are just too many videos for her quirkiness.....

B Money As Of Late

Oh the faces newborns make!! I love when they stretch! 

I recall one of the first pictures my sis sent me of her little boy making that same face...

 And oh WOW does he look different now!!! 

Meet Madden 2.0 

He is gigantic and Bos might forever live in the shadow of his sports career... we shall see. 

Bos is starting to give me little smiles now and I melt at that teeny tiny dimple :)

 He's so dang cute! I super love this demanding little man.

Fresh out of the bath. It seriously does not happen as often as it should. Poor 2nd child goes way too long between baths, and I hear it just gets worse as the kids come.

And back to Madden:

They could not be more different! Same goes for G & Fin too I guess....

Petite Bos again:

 He is so teeny tiny and slowly coming to life. Love this boy! 

He's almost two months and everything is different this time around. Georgia is so so busy. I hardly have 2 seconds to snuggle him! No rocking to bed, no doting, just a few minutes of smiles and fun and then off to bed, over and over and over. I'm lucky he likes to sleep a lot and doesn't seem to miss much...

Georgie & Char Char

Bai is my best as of late! She's always down for just about anything, and ALWAYS indulges me in my fatty food cravings. I admire so many things about her... her crazy dedication to working out (something I do not know if I will ever cultivate), her recent conversion to the church, her love of shopping like unto mine, and above all, she's the ultimate sweetheart! She seriously brings out a better side of me and I love her for it. Her little girl Charli is Georgie's little BF and those two run the play group! Not really. They are just about the only girls so they stick together :) 

Bai and I fulfilled my pregnancy-life-long dream of going to the Art City Donuts food truck. It is super rare that I can ever get to it since they are almost always in Provo and only come to Lehi once in awhile. I have yet to try the Sweet Pig - donuts covered in maple frosting and bacon, what's not to love?! - since they have different flavors every time, but it did not disappoint! 

And these girlies loved them :)

I was waiting for Bai to get her donuts so we could take a quick picture and not paying attention to sneaky G who reached her hang into the bag and snuck one. I just found cinnamon sugar all over her face as evidence. She cracks me up!

I love these two baby friends!

And our fattiness didn't stop there.

I have a weakness for Peach Italian Soda (otherwise known as PIS) and best-friend-selfies... behold:

Can you believe we crammed three babies into my back seat?? It was tight back there! And Char Char was stealing all of G's snacks right out of her hands as they were going into her mouth, as well as Boston's blanket every chance she could get:

There's Georgia, holding onto her snacks for dear life with wary eyes haha. Beware of Char Char! She's fiesty ;) and we love it.

Believe it or not, the fattiness did not stop there either! On to Costco we went to pick up a gallon size bucket of potato salad!! Haha disgusting I know. But seriously, I have discovered Costco potato salad and am only glad they have the gallon size (I think it's half gallon, but really, it mine as well be a gallon).

We also NEVER go to the Bay without the besties. Mostly because I don't dare. And I'm needy. And Bai is the best help ever. 

I just about DIED when I saw this amazing towel on someone's chair!

I almost stole it. I still regret that I didn't. HSM seems like a life time ago! But oh, it's a sister/childhood (?) favorite (can it still be considered a childhood fave at 18 years old?!?). 

We stay until we crash on the way home and then go down nice and easy for an afternoon nap. Just delightful! 

Finally Bai let me take Charli for her while she ran to the dentist. iPad time to start with since G was still sleeping:

I had to set up a fortress to block her crafty hands from getting to Bos on the couch! She is OBSESSED with babies! So interesting compared to Georgia's utter lack of acknowledgement. She kept running over to him and saying "ah ah ah ohhhhh!!!!! bebeeee!!!!"

Finally, gal pal woke up they could play. Or fight over toys. 

They were so funny with sharing... both of them were like "share? what? no."
