Labor Day in Utah

Last week we spent 4 days in Utah over Labor Day weekend - I love going to the Winger's home in Provo, it's so beautiful there and you are guaranteed lots of relaxation time and good company. Also, I got to visit this one during her first week of college...

And I got a little taste of sweet motherhood early... no car = big sister chauffeur service. Anything for baby sis right? Even hanging out at Seven Peaks for a couple hours before the rain and lighting hit was a blast. Sooooo many... interesting bodies people at a water park! People watching is one of our specialties... :)

As well as wasting away the  hours painting our nails! With limited colors and tools, it took me over an hour w/ lots of do-overs but they are the cutest nails I've painted yet and they aren't even mine! Had to give Baby Sis the best mani for her 1st week of college... gotta lock in those boys early! Man I am such a good sister.

On Friday I was unwillingly dragged out of bed @ 6:30am to be at the Swiss Days fair in Midway early with my mother & sister in law to make sure we got first pick of all the goods. Of course I thought my mother in law was insane (like the time she made me go to the OC swap meet at 7:30am and they weren't even set up yet!) but it turns out, she knows her stuff! Maybe Mormon women are crazy, but it's a good thing we got there early because people were already lined up at the booths and I would have missed out on the cutest finds for babys' room! Times like these that I love having a mother in law who's a bit of a shopaholic :)

Growth Chart to mark on as the year go fly by:

The cutest cabinet door picture frame & vintage box you'll ever see (handmade):

2 for $12 lace leggings for baby??? Obviously I can't contain myself:

And a pretty charm for the baby bracelet that Nana makes all her girl grandbabies :)

And to top it off, this one came to the rescue and indulged in a huge hot scone with me - since no one else could "justify the calories" pfffft! When are fluffy carbs, honey, butter, and mile deep lines ever not worth the calories??? (Side note: Krissy has at long last agreed to grow out the bangs)

All in all, it was a great weekend full of good food that I've missed for 2 years and again - good company! I didn't take any pics but i DID make a list of all the restaurants I wanted to go to while in Provo and these are the ones that we got to fit in:
*Happy Sumo - best sushi ever
*Tucanos - Brazilian all you can eat
*Zupas - Soups, salads, sandwiches
*Pita Grill - I get the Philly Steak w/ grilled pineapple every time
*J Dawgs - wish I had bought a bottle of their "special sauce" to take home
*Smashburger - 1st timer and soooo good! best burgers & shakes
