Meanwhile... The Kiddos

So many funny faces from this girl :)
(yes, my summer past time consisted of silly photo shoots on my front steps as Boston snoozed)

Every day, we played outside until Daddy drove up and then the obsession with playing inside the car. Every day. Major meltdown if she couldn't.
This summer, we were always equipped with bubbles and our hose for easy entertainment!
It might be hot outside but that Utah hose water is COLD!
Most of my days are spent as a human step stool.
Or mop.
Being such a cute big girl at play dates:
She loves her accessories!
And she has mastered the art of avoiding eye contact for pictures hahaha

And always climbing into her second mommy's lap for a little R&R.
These days, this girl is so active and such a little explorer - a pink track suit is only necessary! Thanks Aaron & Kristen for this cute suit she got back on her birthday :)
She is constantly collecting new bruises and owies. And I've determined that soda fixes a lot of problems. I love those big red eyes and her auburn hair.
Bos loves his Momma and is such a smiley little thing these days.
Look at that chubba chub and that old man hair on the sides of his head! haha
Old. Man. Face.

This kid has been on the move from the start! Rolling over just 3 months old. And his old man balding hair in all its glory!
Just hot little this mini is:
his socks almost reach his knees!! Haha.
A happy morning (a midst the overall crankiness):

These faces crack me up!

Cute little thing!
That cute little thing requires SO MUCH ATTENTION lately!!! I mean, I can't get anything done unless he's on me, and that means I don't get anything done!!
Do you see my face??? I need a serious break from this lover boy. He is so dang needy! Georgia was never like that.. always loved to be rolling around on the ground and just chillin. I couldn't seem to figure out what he wanted or needed in this phase... He was throwing me for a loop and making me a little loopy! Poor thing... Zach wasn't even a fan of the little man during that rough patch! It was hard. He never seemed happy unless I was holding him and I couldn't figure out why and I definitely didn't have time for that!!
But some days I get a small glimpse of my future and it looks pretty sweet:
And sometimes it's just Georgia pushing Bos out of his spot.
Either way, I'm pretty lucky they are mine! I can't wait till they are big enough to play together and I don't have to be the ultimate entertainer :) it's a hard job! But I feel lucky to do it instead of working and missing my babes every day.

Wrapping Up Sisters Week

I don't even know what is happening here or WHO dressed her (she doesn't wear onesies anymore?!) but she's so squirky and always accessorized every morning before I even wake up!
Beautiful little weirdo.
On Sunday we had a delicious roast dinner & chocolate cake dessert at Krissy's house. It was 100+ degrees inside but when there is chocolate cake involved everyone feels like this:
Love that Finnie Boo
And our technology loving chillens.
And always, showing of the animal kingdom occurs.
Thanks for hosting Kris!!
Next up was the new Museum at Thanksgiving Point, which proved to be worth it's weight in gold but also mind boggling and terrifying for a mom of a toddler. It's amazing for older kiddos but kind of a nightmare for mommas like me - 1,000 doors and hidden tunnels and endless stairs for a little to get lost in. Yes, I did lose her within 20 minutes of entering the museum. I watched her go down a slide, turned my back for 2 seconds to sit down and adjust Boston, and she was gone when I looked back. Sheer panic and terror. So many kids. So many rooms. So many people. I finally went to the front desk to report her missing, wondering at what point they shut down the place to search her out, when someone close by said "Is this her?" and it was!!! I felt so grateful to nice strangers. Poor babe, she hadn't even run off to play, she went looking for ME and was crying at the entrance unable to find me as I was running around in panic looking for her. After that crazy, I couldn't handle being packed inside with so much going on, so we headed outside to the splash pad area so unwind.

Lovely little Fin... wanting nothing more than to be cousin besties and share oodles of love and affection.
 Reality:
Georgia was in such a grumpy, independent, stop-touching-my-toys stage of life!! But she does love to copy:
Love this picture so so much:

 Diaries of selfie-taking-sisters:
 Nope.
 Nope.
Ahhh there we go! haha
 Our babes look so grumpy!
Now that this was already like 4 months ago, Georgia looks so chunky to me!
Cutest cousins in the whole world:

 Screaming & splashing all day!
Uuuuuugh I just want to keep her and feed her chocolate and cookies all day longgggg (and keep those neck rolls rollin):
After such a long and eventful day, I was so exhausted, I finally hightailed it to the car to feed Bos and relax and nap while Kell & her babes played a bit longer. We did not come home before stopping at Swig to stock up on cookies and Peach Italian Soda!

We spent another day at a duck pond that Kell spotted when driving through a nearby neighborhood. Cutter took off way ahead of us to chase those birds almost as big as him!
He was so brave, super friendly/invasive as they were...kinda creepy.
And these two are just sugar cubes & glitter:

 Asking me an alien question:
 Commanding the geese:
Or just throwing bread & tantrums on tantrums that day...she is free bird herself!! I cannot contain her.
Back at home, I discovered a piece of heaven: baked sweet potato slices with olive oil and kosher salt. ohhhh myyyy. and they are healthy?!?! Give me all the sweet potatoes.
And I finally witnessed the trauma that is toenail clipping in the Rex household hahahaha.
Terrified. I was dying.
The rest of the blanks could be filled in mass amounts of ice cream, more cookies, waffles, shopping, etc...
 Dinkin around at Forever21.
A dinner out at a some nice restaurant, but extremely sad and disappointed that our plans of stuffing my face at Lucky 13 were ruined by none other than ME for not thinking to bring my ID. And it was not remedied by picking the wrong entree at the replacement restaurant. Cry face. But nonetheless, I love my sissies. Missing Cait.
Mom & Dad are so happy about our love to be together even when they are so far away, that they sent us on a nice night out for another dinner on them! And this place was NOTE WORTHY. Called From Scratch in Salt Lake and everything is to die for. It was absolutely delicious.
So grateful for my family and our bond and our parents who appreciate it too!
Too many pictures, too many retakes, too much going on :)
We love each other so much, we couldn't bear to part, so Kell & Jer ditched their Vegas plans and stayed a day or two more to hang with us at Seven Peaks! Ok, probably because Zach had TEN free tickets. TEN. So we brought ten people AND five kids hahahaha. I would say it was a great time, except that my parenting fails were not over. Despite that I brought two babysitters, TWO, so that all the adults could play too and ride some water slides (and a grand time that was) they managed to let Georgia slip through the cracks and panic again set in when we couldn't find her. I kept imagining her at the bottom of a pool and my life being over. I was dang mad at myself for wanting to play so much. Thankfully it wasn't long before Zach spotted her hanging out on a table top at the lost & found. She had snuck off with another family and followed them around until they turned her in! Silent prayers for angels watching over her!
And for all that, I didn't even get a single picture of all our fun at the water park. We parted ways, but not for long since I'll be visiting soon!
