I Hate Goodbye's...

Caitlin left for college yesterday and I have not wanted to think about it because I HATE goodbye's and I'm going to see her next weekend anyway so it's really not goodbye yet... this post is inspired by Eldest Sister who posted her favorite memories and gave us a good laugh so here are some of MY fave memories mixed with some very favorite pics of Baby Sister. There are just too many to document let alone remember and this is the best I could do for now.

*During her awkward years of about 10-13 she had a major growth spurt and wore all her pants up past her belly button which caused the floods to come in so she also had over-exposed ankles 24/7. she had a big gap in her front teeth before braces gave her the best smile ever and an underbite which = the goofiest smile ever. One time Kelly permed AND cut layers in her hair so she basically had a mop on her head for months!

*Our parents have this Christmas Snowman they set out every year that sings when you press the button One morning I kept hearing it over and over and over so I leaned over the staircase to see whyyyyy and there was Caitlin was standing in front of the snowman waving her arms as if directing an orchestra!

*She is the WORST song ruiner EVER! She will sing your favorite song over and over and over in some ridiculously annoying voice until you hate it and then can't ever sing it any other way ever again.

*She attended my first week of college with me because I didn't want to be alone and she followed me everywhere anyway. Teachers would hand her the class work or take roll and she would just say "Oh I'm not in this class..." and then sit there. Only in college... :)

* When I was in high school, she would write me notes every night after I went to bed saying how much she loved me and then throw in a “can I borrow your shirt tomorrow?? Leave it out if I can! It’s ok if you don’t want me to…. Love you!” at end. I would see them taped to my mirror every morning before she woke up. And usually left my clothes out for her. I eventually saved up all the notes and put them in a book for her years later!

*One time we were on vacation and I was getting ready in the bathroom while Cait hopped in the shower. She threw her shirt over the curtain.... and right into the toilet of pee she forgot to flush! I started shrieking and laughing - not able to get any words out - and she cried "Noooo I was gonna wear that again..."

*She could never control her laughter, especially when scolded by mom to shhhhhh in church or any quiet place. She would laugh through her nose and I would make fun of her and then we could never ever stop laughing after that. She has the best laugh everrrrrrrr. Contagious.

*For years we talked in a weird Arabian accent to each other and didn’t care who heard…. Still do sometimes! Still wondering if/when it will ever fade away completely...?

*We used to have "reading marathons" where we would climb in bed with junk food and whatever book we were pouring over at the moment and just read for hours side by side! Oh yes, and let's not forget our obsession with everything MILEY. Yep, it all started with Hannah Montana... we watched every episode and loved every song. #radiatelove

*We had an obsession with taking millions of pictures of ourselves while stuck in the car, airplane, or other photo shoot areas and would laugh at them for hours. This also included taking super serious emo pics... ahhhh so many photo shoots. So embarrassing. Cait always had the best faces in any pic! Some examples from various shoots...

I love this sister and will miss her sooooo much while she's at college. It never seemed like there were 6 years between us, people always thought we were twins anyway and I guess that's how we acted. Love her to death and can't wait to see what kinds of boys she'll be fighting off this year.... she's a heartbreaker for sure! Smart, funny, pretty.... who wants to date her?! haha

Scoot Scoot

Saturday started out hot and miserable and ended up being one of the BEST DAYS EVER!!! Cruisin' the streets of Balboa Island on razor scooters....who knew Zach could come up with such an epic idea?? I love him. As well as Hippo cookies, watermelon frozen yogurt, and cherry sour balls :)

How could I not love this born athlete??

And this face. Such concentration. Such technique. Zach is no doubt the clumsiest person I know - if there is a curb, be it 2 inches tall, he WILL find it and roll his ankle on it. But no amount of whining could stop him from practicing his bad-A skills on any kind of board with wheels... so I gave up and had a good laugh instead. What can I say - he makes the best faces for the camera.

And so we spent the day strolling the harbor and picking out which million dollar beach home we would move into once we strike it rich, and topped it off with the coolest Italian Restaurant in OC - Mama D's. Best Italian around and they treat you like family! Like I said, best day ever.

Long story short, this is us 4 years ago. Charming.

And this is us now.

I guess I still love him.
