Draper Days

On Saturday we met up with Krissy & Matt for the Draper Days street fair in the stifling, suffocating, make-you-want-to-die heat. This little girl loves her Auntie :)
It LOOKS like we are having a good time, but really we are drenched in sweat and dehydrated. See that boot that Zachie-poo is sporting?? I almost barfed when he took it off and his leg hair was wet and stuck to his leg. Ewwwwwww. I don't want to know what that thing is going to smell like when he's through with it.
We headed over to the reptile rescue (to appease Matt and his love for all things animal disgusting) and then took Georgie for her first ride on the swings!!Ahhhh if I had a dollar for every time this girl has her tongue sticking out!!!! I'd be a millionaire :) with a cutsie patootsie babe!
She LOVED the swings! I love love love this baby and that nothing scares her! Except sometimes Papa Frank. And boys. haha ;)
How am I ever going to refuse this face in the future???
Do not be fooled. We look like a happy family, but I all I can think of is finding a way to a well ventilated, air conditioned room!! And downing another amazing pina colada... yep! They had AMAZING pina coladas there!!! To die for. Probably the best I've ever had.
And I would have begged for another if I hadn't used all my begging resources on these $12 modest aztec jean shorts.
I mean! TWELVE DOLLARS for modest shorts?! Hard to find. Obviously Zach didn't care about the stellar deal.  I think he loves me.... otherwise I should've been dead years ago. ;)
Anyway we booked it out of there ASAP! Didn't even stay for the fireworks...but we could still hear them from our home. Till next year, Draper Days.

Love Affair

This boy has a serious love affair. With this place:
He woke up early Tuesday morning (exactly 2 days after resolving to get into the great outdoors) and went mountain biking with a friend on an "expert" course...my husband is not an expert. So he came limping in asking me to take him to the hospital because he heard a pop and thinks he tore his Achilles tendon. Surprised? Not in the least. Zach is super accident prone, loves hospital food, a new clean bed, extra bills, and doctors who take their sweet time ;) so much for getting into shape/the great outdoors... that was short-lived.
Good thing Georgie was there to charm everyone!
Getting the cast on:
Actually he said it didn't hurt. He's pretty tough! For a boy who has owned a lot of these:
I'm glad he's still alive, in one piece, and still mine. He opted to stay home from work that day after I told him we'd make a party of it and have all the food we want! So there was cowboy salsa
and chocolate cake
 and homemade banana ice cream

 And the infamous CBC!!!
It was a disastrously delicious day. With some much needed R&R:
Who doesn't love a naked baby to Relax with?

Strollin' It

Monday we had some errands to run and brake pads to replace at the shop. So we got ready for the day:
Had some fun...
... LOOK at those legs!! Haha
We figured out that Zach accidentally took my carrier stroller, so it was time to break out the big girl stroller! I was actually excited because it's such a cute one and I got a super good deal on it so I couldn't wait for her to grow into it.
We headed to the shop and did some light motor magazine reading destroying:
Ahhhhh I could eat her.
After we were done wrecking the magazines...oops... and spitting up on the new stroller... ugh... we ventured across the street to the shops.
I really think she loved being so open and free. Usually she is itching to get out of the carrier but she seemed to have a ball in the stroller!
There's that tongue again!!! And of course her beloved Victoria Secret Pink pup from Auntie Booch.
After some treats at the dollar tree store (glow sticks, swimming pool balls, etc..) we had some lunch and some shopping time for me (yay! had to make sure Zach regretted asking me to get car work done! haha) and then headed back to the car shop. It was a great day spent hangin with my favorite babe. She is just getting too big!!

Getting Outdoorsy

Yes, you read that right - I'M getting outdoorsy! Haha. Actually, afternoon hikes in the mountains are glorious. You completely escape the heat and it's beautiful! I'm trying to find fun ways of getting back in shape and Zach suggested hiking. I dragged my feet at first and then decided that it was a totally awesome idea so we packed up and headed off to Cottonwood Canyons.
Ummm, can you say #mancandy?? Haha! Thankfully, I dug this carrier out of a bag of stuff that my old boss had given me! Zach looks pretty good with his Ray Bans and his mini-me. Soooo outdoorsy ;) haha.
Seriously, Georgia LOVED it! She was soooo happy the entire time! Every time I turned around, she was kicking her legs and throwin out smiles.
Seeeeeee:

 The Lord's beauty:
The hike kept getting better and better. Pretty soon, we were surrounded by wild flowers and meadows. And then I started to FREAK OUT from the endless buzzing of the HUMONGOUS BUMBLE BEES!!! If you know me, you know that I am deathly afraid of bees. Like screaming, running away, I have bee-nightmares, deathly afraid! At one point I had to plug my ears and just look down and power-walk because I couldn't take the noise anymore, it was making me sweat.
She kills me:
Even when it got way chillier than I expected and all we could do was put a thin hat on her :( her poor hands and feet were ice cold! But she kept kickin away.
Happy as a clam with the hat strap to eat.
It was such a fun night that we resolved to do this every weekend and even try a short camping trip some time!
I am not an outdoorsy girl, nor have I ever wanted to be, but I just CAN'T LIVE in this crazy heat! Anything to escape! And I was surprised at how much I loved hiking :) Zach promised next time we could hike to a stream or a waterfall or something. Can't wait.

Winger Family Reunion

This year we were able to attend the Winger Family Reunion since we live in Utah now! All of Frank's side would be there - his two sisters and their extended family. Even Uncle Jordy came just to hang out with us! It is so much fun having him around. Love these two:
And this face of course :) so suave
The weekend consisted of all kinds of activities and games like kickball and trading personal info cards, and of course there was food & desserts around every corner!
Georgia had LOTS of cousins to watch her and play with her! It was great having help.
We ended it with a swim day at Legacy Swim Park - it is such a cool place for kids. It's mostly indoors with a mini lazy river that goes outdoors with outdoor lounge chair and sitting areas. The indoor part is huge with TONS of play equipment in a shallow end and a big slide on the other end. It was nice not having to worry about my little babe getting sun burned.

It even had a little area with these baby swings that she could jump around in and I LOVE them! She was having so much fun. Her tongue is always stickin out :)
Seriosuly, if I didn't put bows in her hair, she would be mistaken for a boy. She is a clone of Zach!
After swimming we met up for dinner and a talent show and got to see all kinds of funny and cool stuff that I didn't know our family could do! Go Wingers!

6 Month Pictures

My sister in law, Stephanie, is a great photographer! Unlucky for me, Georgia wasn't really in the mood to smile so I only got a handful of pictures for her 6 month shoot. But they still turned out pretty good! I got the cutest little short-alls and couldn't wait to dress her up! The tutu is Steph's but I'm thinking I should get her one!
