Vegas w/ the Blicks

We planned a Vegas trip for a mini Blick sibling reunion (and a chance to go to a dream concert) and with all the October festivities, it snuck up so fast and THOSE are the best trips! We met up at Holstein's, a burger joint. And stuffed our faces till the kids were all having melt-downs. Fun times :)
Then we hit the strip!
And the fountain show at the Bellagio (Georgia looking extra classy, diaper out, belly out, and hand up the crotch. Nice):
Her favorite cousin girlfriend feeding her obsession for Georgia love:
As well as all things chocolate and sweets:
And big brother brought me LISA FRANK rainbow stickers to fuel my OWN childhood obsession! He knows how much I used to love Lisa Frank. I had their unicorn velcro binder and all sorts of notebooks. Brings me back to happy times :) So clearly lots of dreams were coming true this trip.
I also discovered the AMAZINGNESS of Vegas buffets... and how extremely disgusting I look in the below picture. But alas, I am pregnant. Nothing I can do about it.
But seriously, I am NOT a fan of buffets. Just the mention of them is enough to make me nauseous - pregnant or not - so I was completely dreading it when my brother said it was the one thing he really wanted to do. To my absolute amazement, the food was delicious! All restaurant style and fresh and a hundred different options. It completely surprised me and Jake had a big "I told you so" for me. You pay $30+ but it is WELL worth it. We stayed for a few hours haha and I was actually bummed that I was pregnant and not able to eat all that I wanted to or I would have food coming out my ears later...Georgia entertained herself for most of it. And spent the rest of the time checking out the food on daddy's shoulders.
After that, we met up at Circus Circus to play some carnival games.

These two were adorable:
The Blicks took over the races:
And Zach brought back a monkey for Georgia that surprisingly she loves. And they happen to match in this picture haha.
After an exhausting afternoon, we went back for a quick nap and then got ready for the event of the trip! Krissy and Matt were nice enough to babysit the kids while we enjoyed a Tim McGraw and Faith Hill concert! I begged my sissy to pick this concert and then she ditched me for better seats -____- thanks you classy brat.
Still, it was an amazing concert! I absolutely loved every minute. And fell in love with Tim all over again!
Starting the concert off, everyone was so excited waiting for them to come:
And I sang along with every song! I grew up on their music and it's funny how lyrics are like riding a bike, they just come back to you even though you haven't heard those songs in forever!
Pictures from my sister who was so close to them and even got to touch Faith:
Tim was actually even better than Faith. Something I didn't expect. Every note was right on, so perfect, and filling the room. He was such an entertainer too!
It was a great night. Definitely one to remember.
Best picture of the night:
Fin begging for more sips of soda, Cutter no doubt running circles around them all, and G taking it all in... soon this will be her life!
The next morning we met up for breakfast, walked around the malls for awhile together, and then headed home. Georgia was amazing in the car! Took regular naps and watched shows on the ipad in between. It was a good trip, but so exhausting and we were happy to be home.

Halloween Festivities

This month was a good one! Lots of family time and adventures :)
We went to Cornbelly's to check out the pumpkin patch fun:
Tractor rides...
Hay rides...
Love this girl.
Cornfields...
Such a good day and perfect weather!
Then it was time to party. My sister had a Halloween party at her home. Which she turned into Hogwarts, the Quidditch field, & the platform of 9 and three-quarters WITH it's very own chamber of secrets. Well done sis!

The chamber of secrets with her cool snakes inside:

They had Harry Potter going for the kids (and Zach):
And we came as Grandma, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Big Bad Wolf. Yes, I found our costume material at Saver's and made the rest. It was awesome!
I also got on top of decorating this year!! Decided with a new home, it was a good time to start :)
I actually was so proud of myself for making one big stop to the craft store and whipping these ideas up in my head without the slightest clue how it would all work out. But I made it happen! I'm really into these deco mesh wreaths and decided I would just stumble through it until it looked like a real wreath.
And the "beware" banner I threw together with some leftover ribbon, scrapbook paper, and old lettering I had from years ago! I love when I happens. But I owe half my mantle to my sweet mother in law who gives us decorations as gifts every year for most of the major holidays! She finds the BEST stuff for us :) love her so much.
 My witches hat:
And paper bats up! Yes, I cut each one out by hand. Because I didn't know they sell sets at the store.
This Halloween was great! We even did a little trick or treating at Zach's work in Cottonwood Heights:
And ate all the candy for ourselves! Next year, Georgia :) it's all yours.
I am finally starting to appreciate the holidays in a whole new light and it makes me happy :)

Georgia @ 10 Months

This girl is hard to catch on camera these days. Hardly any smiles if I don't have someone to make her laugh while I'm clicking away. I found this ruffle romper at Swiss Days and had to have it even if she only ever wore it once. It's so cute!! She's my little pumpkin.
She's always so WIGGLY! Won't stay still for nothin' but cartoons and wants to crawl around everywhere.
 Checkin' out her get-up:
And I wasn't the only one who loved it. Enter, this huge swarm of Koreans that found us at In N Out that day:
They were oohing and awing and clicking at her and putting glasses on her and she LOVED it and pouted when they tried to go away.
I honestly let this go on way too long...
And even risked abduction...
Because I just couldn't stop laughing and taking pictures!! Haha
And I tried to find some common ground with them...told them my baby sis is on a mission in Korea. They didn't care. haha.

Lately:
*She can pull herself up on any furniture and walk all along it and loves walking up and down the stairs, one at a time, she thinks it's so fun
*Is OBSESSED with the computer, any time we are on it, she immediately makes her way over and starts grabbing the screen, pushing all the buttons, and throws a fit if we try to stop her. Pretty soon we were reformatting our settings and googling how to fix the changes...
Our little computer programmer, plugging away....
We pulled out new big girl clothes:
And received LOTS of handmedowns:
 Thanks sis!
And thanks for the perfect Halloween shirt!! She is totally wicked c
*She is starting to understand my tone of voice when I say "no" or tell her not to do something, she'll stop, turn around, and look at me like she's thinking about it
*Now that she's crawling everywhere, she always wants to go into the kitchen and pick little teeny tiny miniscule crumbs off the floor which drives me crazy so I always have to sweep a ton
*She is the light of our lives and we love hanging out with her. Some of our favorite things:
-Watching her laugh when she touches our eyelashes
-Hearing her say "hidada" even if she doesn't know what it means or it's at 3am
-Seeing her dance to her favorite cartoon songs
-Seeing her smile and shake her head when I sing the bathtub song from Peg Plus Cat (cartoon)
-Showing her videos of herself laughing or talking, she loves them
-Pretending to "get her" just to get her reaction: screaming and kicking and trying to get away
-Dancing with her and dipping her backwards

Lately I have been feeling sad that soon I will get too big to hold her much or chase her around and play with her all the time... I still have some time, but man she just grows up so fast! I know I'll blink and she'll be walking. Ps. can't wait till then... she's getting heavy :)
