Cousin Love

All weekend long, these two had nothing but love for their baby cousin.
Even sharing their beloved blankies with her (a miracle... usually there's more "mine, mine, miiiine" than not).
And pillow pets.
For how much stink eye is locked and loaded at any given time of the day in that cute girl, she sure is so so sweet to baby Georgia always.
And even this force wielding, toy chucking, blankie biting dudeman gets all mushy with her.
 Love it.
This book shall go down in history as the book that cutter made us read to him 894667252461 times and in all sorts of accents (thank you Zach). He never got tired of it. But apparently Zach didn't approve of us documenting it.
Fin just couldn't stay out of G's stuff all weekend long! I think she got a kick out of the fact that she is too big for it all! In and out of this thing all day.
And her bumbo - was that a tight squeeze or what?
Not to mention her obsession with all things buckles. Every time I went to put G in the seat, locked up. Every. Single Time. Uuuuuugh. But soooooo funny. She has always been obsessed with opening and closing everything - doors, cabinets, drawers - anything she can buckle and then unbuckle, stack and unstack, mess up and then clean up! She's a crack up.
Enjoying some much needed Peanut Butter Trails ice cream on a rainy day (rain won't ever stop me from eating or desserting). G looked like such a boy in this outfit all day, cute as it was.
My mom told me that she just looooves her girls! She could just kiss em and sqeeze em a million times! And that boys are just NOT the same! hahahahahaha
I don't think my dad feels the same.
I guess he had one good reason:
It was a great weekend despite the fact that my hosting skills were not up to par... air mattresses, shared towels, no paper towels, not enough blankets, or trash cans.... forgive me! I hadn't even been moved in one week. Good thing they come to visit in a couple of weeks so I can redeem myself.

Memorial Day Blick Reunion

On Monday we all met up at a park in American Fork and stuffed our faces with the best pizza ever! This crew brought a brick oven and just started pumping out little pizzas one after the other so you could try a bunch of different ones and there was no waiting around, it was awesome and some of the most unique kinds of pizza I'v ever had. Like pesto pepparoni, chipotle raspberry chicken, and even dessert: banana butterscoth coconut & nutella! Soooo good!
I got to hang out and chat with my cousins.
And then hang out with this bundle of joy a lot :)
 I love her.
Yay for memorial day! Thanks to all those who serve and have served! So grateful for the lives given for our freedom.

Missionary Sunday

On Sunday we had a mission farewell in the morning and a mission homecoming in the evening!
Our nephew, Jaron is leaving on his mission to Uruguay so we went to his ward and heard him speak and spent time with their family for lunch.
It was a great morning! He and his mom gave GREAT talks, so uplifting.
After lunch, we headed over to Heber City for my Aunt & Uncle's homecoming talks - they served a mission in Ireland and are home now! Both talks were great, I especially loved my Uncle John's talk and the way he expressed his love for my Aunt and of course, his humor that had us grinning through most of it... he is so funny! After that, we headed to their home in Timberlakes, which is waaaaaaay up in the mountains beyond paved roads and takes forever to get to and gives you anxiety about sharp rocks slashing your tires... but it's ok because it looks like this:
Gorgeous right? They had tons of people over and lots of food. It was great to see my family and cousins on my dad's side - we never get to see them!

7 Peaks Water Park Day

Seriously, who wouldn't want to spend the day at a water park with this babe???
  She's too much.
She even went around with us in the lazy river. And may have cried just a little when splashed by some cold water fountains...
She did soooo good! Although she did spend most of the day in the shade on the soft green grass and towels playing with one of us... pretty easy peasy.

Here is a play by play of Zach catching the sweetest air ever on a water slide.

He cleared the entire bottom of the slide!! Lucky me, I got to hear for the rest of the day how sore his arm was...
This ride was pretty sweet too.

So I worked up the courage to go after all my sisters insisted. I'm on the right looking over at my sister Kelly, probably freaking out and asking her if it is worth the risk of death.
Just kidding, it is totally safe and turns out - SUPER FUN!!
And I learned something about myself.
I really do scream like my mom.
High pitched, short yelps, over and over.
 Embarrassing :)
But soooooo much fun!!! Too bad the water was much colder than one in Provo. I didn't get to enjoy my favorite part of the water park - the wave pool!!! So sad. I'm hoping it was just the opening day and maybe their pools were just warming up for the summer...
Even then, I still had a blast with my fam bam!

Fun With NaNa & PaPa

We don't get to see NaNa & PaPa even though they have a 2nd home in Provo that they generously let us stay in for 6 months while we found the right home for us. There home was Georgia's first home!
We love when they visit - we always go out to fun restaurants and usually they take everyone out to Tucanos!
 She's a wiggly one...
NaNa always leaves pretty lipstick marks with her big kisses! :)
 Telling her stories to NaNa...
Kisses & play time at the dinner table!

 PaPa Frank :)
Hangin out with NaNa & PaPa at Jaron's farewell brunch.
Georgia loves her NaNa but most of all, she loves her pretty pretty jewelry! She couldn't stop looking at all the colors and playing with it.
Our NaNa is so colorful & bright, we love it!
And who wouldn't enjoy being smothered by PaPa Frank's loves?!
I see so much of Zach in his dad and it makes me so happy! All the grandkids love him so much and he always plays silly games with them and I can just see Zach doing the exact same thing someday.
After dinner, we went out for some Coldstone ice cream - we can always count on them to get dessert with us :)
I love these pictures. So cute.
We love NaNa & PaPa visits! They left too soon, can't wait till the next time.

Prayers for Grandpa Cal

Last week Grandpa Cal fell and broke his hip. He had to have surgery and things weren't looking great so we went and visited him in the rehab facility.
Fillin' up her tank before we go!
She's so big now!
Zach and Grandpa Cal bonding over what else?? Good ole football :)
While G and I chilled for a bit and let them chat...
I can't stop laughing at her cheeks! When did she get so fat?! :) I love it.
Then she had her turn on Great Grandpa Cal's GOOD hip and was all smiles.
After making sure he was good and exhausted, we said goodbye and let him get his rest - he looked so tired! We love him so much and really hope that he gets better soon... we know how hard broken hips are at that age so we keep him in our prayers. We want nothing more than for Georgia to get to know the Grandpa Cal that we love and adore so so much! So grateful for the love and respect that Zach holds for his Grandpa. Get well soon!
