5 Months & 5 Years

I can't believe how fast time flies!! Georgia turned 5 months old on our 5 year anniversary! Thankfully,  my family was in town so they were able to watch Georgia while Zach and I went out to a nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We rarely ever get to go out the two of us so it was a great night.
Obviously we look super excited about it.

Just kidding, we really were. We love the Cheesecake Factory.

Finishing it off with our favorite - a slice of Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake

 Want some??? Too bad.
My 5 month old blue eyed beauty:
Check out those rolls! And still no hair.
I really REALLY wanted to do something special for Zach for the 5 mile mark but with the new home and my family coming to stay and most of our belongings in boxes, I just didn't have the resources to do what I wanted in time so we decided our home was enough for a 5 year gift.
 I'm pretty stoked on it.
My first house key ever:
Kickin' back while we unpack!
Oh dear. Taking after her dad... again refer to post Ode To A Sleepy Husband
So many things have been on my mind this month. Georgia was especially difficult through no fault of her own - we practically spent most of month 4 travelling (WHAT was I thinking). I pray almost daily to be a better mother and for guidance to know what she needs and how to help her be happy and healthy. I am learning to love Utah (or maybe I'm just blinded by this gorgeous spring/summer) and find myself happy and grateful on a daily basis that I have a home and a family in a beautiful place and I get to stay home with my favorite lady everyday. I love that she is growing, but I get sad that it's so fast. I have so much love for my family and feel so lucky to have seen them so much this month but I know it's for a reason and that reason makes me sad. But I try to think of the positive and not dwell on the departure of my parents and sister. So much excitement and sadness at the same time - I have a love/hate relationship with change... doesn't everyone? My heart feels full when I think of all my blessings and the beauty and love around me. I constantly remind/push myself to BE BETTER and do better. I need to keep up with the crazy fast world!
Enough of the gushy. Here's what my Boobadoo has been up to this last month:
Sucking her toes (so so gross)
 Being a doll.
Eating her friends.

Drinking bottles all by herself.
Rolling on her side.
 Striking a pose.
Staining all her pretty clothes.
Having fun at 7 Peaks water park.
Hanging out in her toy saucer. Both feet reach the ground now!
Sitting straight in her bumbo! Check out those finger toes...
Enjoying bath time

By Now:

-She laughs at peek-a-boo!
-Grabs her toes and rolls on her side
-Rolls from her tummy to her back
-Laughs & giggles when we tickle her, bounce her up and down on the bed, "eat" her fingers & toes & back, pretend to drop her, etc.
-Grabs her rattles & toys and tosses them
-Sometimes when I'm feeding her she'll look at me, reach up and touch my face all over, and get all googley-eyed at me
-Cries a lot at bedtime
-Finally stopped peeing every time I was in the middle of changing her diaper
-Is sooooo chunky!
-Has a little bubble-butt with cottage cheese buns!
-Loves to stand and be upright
-Is still bald
-She's too big for her baby bath so I put her in the bathtub on a sponge pad and she loves kicking around in the water
-Loves looking around at everything and every noise, it's so funny to watch her look from side to side so quickly when we hold her up next to us
-If you get up close to her face and talk to her, she will talk back! The cutest gurgling ever that goes on and on and on
-Always always wants my attention!

El Fin De Cancun

Almost forgot these last few pictures from the end of our trip! Georgia was having some playing/bonding time with her dad right before we downed the best guacamole I've ever had in my LIFE and some amazing fajitas at the Taco Factory in downtown Cancun. Loved it all.
Georgia loves it when we "eat" her fingers and toes!
 Two of a kind.
Downing a bottle during take off!
Don't let these sweet pictures fool you... traveling home was completely HORRENDOUS.
Like make you want to jump out of the plane for a shot of swimming back to Cancun horrendous.
The End.

Cancuuuuuuuuuuuuuun

Let it be said - I have wifi againnnnnn!!! I really and truly missed blogging and now I am not looking forward to the catching up. And I am so OVER reading about everyone else's Cancun posts!!! But for the sake of recording memories and chronological sanity, here are some highlights of our wonderful Cancun trip....
Lots of beach volleyball (Zach couldn't find his swimsuit in all our packed boxes so he wore a pair of workout shorts borrowed from his Dad alllllll week long) with Zach lookin curvalicious :)
And some pool volleyball which I actually participated in and was super fun!
Lots and LOTS of throwing in the pool.

And other sorts of acrobatics
 The dream team ;)
Some face painting paired with weird poses by the tree so it kind of looks like he's some sort of war monkey hahaha
This one was a doll, hangin out poolside while we swam and ate and tanned and talked a LOT.
Even napping beachside when she had to!

 My happy little beach bum:
It was a little bright for my boobadoo:

One of the many pina coladas I had that week. Did I mention this vacation was all-inclusive???
Best decision ever.
I felt better about taking her poolside with me after slathering her in SPF 100... thanks hubs (and Dad) for passing on your epic whiteness to my child.

I just can't NOT include this picture. Look at that cheeser!! She makes me happy.
Enjoying the eats. Among my favorites: chile poblano quesadilla, pastor & grilled pineapple quesadilla, fajitas, caramel glazed pork...
Photo op at the request of my dear Muzzie:
Are we not cool???
Cutter and Fin enjoying the plaza with all kinds of cars to rent and drive! Ask Zach about his next big business deal... hahaha

This little plaza is where the real authentic Mexican food was! Roasted corn like in Nacho Libre, tacos, empanadas, even this "fried ice cream" (that was the flavor) sooooo good and so so so cheap!
 My little Ginger...
 Cousin love as always!
Love her face. Even though it was a million degrees, she was pretty good!
Hanging at the plaza.
One of the days, Zach went with the rest of the family to see some ruins

So I stayed behind with the babe and we had some PHOTO OPPPP TIME!!!

She kills me.

And she eats all by herself now!
We spent plenty of time at the most amazing beach ever

And did a whole lot of swimming surviving the shore breakers. Kris just couldn't keep up!
We didn't get any pictures but I can't forget how Krissy got pummeled by about 10 waves while looking for her sunglasses in the water. Probably a good thing since some of those pictures would have contained some explicit content. hahaha

The last night, we all had dinner together at a restaurant on the beach and then took some family pictures. It was beautiful!
My babes:
Take note of Zach's extreme sunburn that was essentially "my fault". It looked worse in person.
 Crazy sisters.
I LOVE this picture. And G looks sooo chunky!
A great family vacation!
My family is awesome.
Not realizing just how difficult it would be to travel with a 4 month old for 2 weeks in a row, Zach and I decided to stay in Cancun for another 2 days along with my sister and her family. We hung out at their resort for the rest of the time! They had awesome pools that overlooked the beach.
Here's the pool and the beach just beyond that!
My sister snapped this picture... all too funny if you've read my Ode To A Sleepy Husband post!
He can nap anywhere, anytime, sunburned or not.
We decided to venture out and have some "authentic American" tacos at the Blue Gecko. They were completely Americanized but soooo good!!!
 My happy little beach babe!
I could just eat this face!

The flight home was a loooooong one and not very fun. Come to think of it, she was MUCH easier for me when I had to fly to Utah and CA just her and I... But I was happy to have her with me.
This will definitely be a family vacation to remember!
