When it's your birthday, you can do WHATEVER you want. Including fling your nursing pads in strange and unexpected places for others to find them. hahaha oops sorry, that was gross.

Lucky for me, it just so happened that my big brother had ONE afternoon off and he drove up from OC to be with me!! A poor med student slave and he sacrificed his precious time to hang out with us. Love him!

For my birthday, I just really really wanted to go to the beach! When I live near it, it's enough to be close, but something about moving away just always makes you want to go back. 

So off to Point Mugu we went because it's the closest and we had limited time with Jake.

I am a quarter of a century old and feeling GOOD! I wanted to do something crazy! So Jake aided me in fulfilling my dreams and this happened:

Seriously, it felt like flying. Yay for turning 25!

There are two things I love about this picture. His crazy eyes. And his Russian Festival tee that is practically ancient. Ok 3 things - the absolute candidness and carefree-ness of this shot. LOVE it.

A small miracle happened on this 25th birthday of mine: everyone in this picture is smiling and in focus and has their eyes open (G doesn't count)! That is virtually an impossible feat with Cutter and Finley.

I am 25 years old and have never felt more alive. Such an exciting time in my life! A new home, a new baby, a new world to explore. Such a tug and pull between wanting to jump right in and slow things down at the same time. That day, the world was beautiful and it was in the palm of my hands. Such a perfect day! The only thing missing was Zach. And Krissy & Matt. And maybe a BMW SUV. I am SO happy. I am TWENTY-FIVE!!!!! This is me.
